The Power Center for Utility Explorations was established to explore all energy related issues comprehensively in renewable energy, transmission, distribution and generation systems and will publish the Power New Journal. PCUE has a Board composed of utility and power industry members that will provide guidance to the journal. The PCUE is also an exemplary power engineering program with numerous opportunities to earn professional degrees from BS to Ph.D., programs offering experimental learning and testing, as well as advanced simulation and monitoring capabilities. We ask you to consider partnering with the PCUE either as a Board member and/or in projects that may help your business operationally or technologically.

Laboratories:

1.     Power Engineering Teaching Laboratory enables students to learn about electric machines and transformers.

2.     Power and Energy Applied Research Laboratory has a 20+ year history of innovative power and energy engineering research. This lab was the first in the world to be able to generate three-phase arbitrary voltages and currents to apply and study devices under test. Work is currently being done in demand side management, distributed power systems such as solar and wind and their interface to the utility grid, biomass power production, weather and reliability, among many others.
